Joanne G. DeVore, M.D.

I love my job as a pediatrician and especially interacting with my patients. Kids are amazing! I try to relate to each of them at their own level and age, so they are comfortable and can open up with me. Not all medicine is black and white, so I like to discuss options with families so we can decide on the best treatment plan together.

A little bit about me…. I grew up on Long Island in New York and was active in multiple sports and competed in volleyball and track and field both in high school and at Brown University. Growing up, I always enjoyed working with kids (babysitting, church nursery) and loved biology ( I was a science nerd) and I decided on a career in medicine while in college. I chose to focus on pediatrics while in medical school when I realized I was happiest during my pediatric rotation because I loved the energy and resiliency of children and the journey of watching them grow.

After completing my pediatric training at the University of Virginia my husband and I decided to move out west to Oregon where I joined the Children’s Clinic. I have 4 young adult children, including twin sons. Our family enjoys staying active through sports, exercise, hiking, and travel. I also enjoy cooking, reading adventure and fantasy books, and am a longtime Star Wars fan.
