Jocelyn Hayes, M.D.

I like to meet families where they are, which sometimes means families want a lot of advice and guidance while other times they do not. I always work to ensure my patients are safe, healthy and thriving. Pediatricians love to watch kids grow, but it is equally enjoyable to watch how parents evolve with their children, especially when there are new additions to the family.

Growing up as the oldest of five children, I spent a lot of time as the leader and babysitter. My childhood was spent playing sports, swimming, going on long bike rides and roaming the neighborhood which was full of kids.

I decided I wanted a career in the sciences in high school. I fell in love with biology because of my first biology teacher. She showed me women could be kind, cool AND good at science. In high school and college, I coached soccer and swim team and was a swim instructor, I have always enjoyed working with kids and families. I knew when I applied to medical school that I wanted to be a Pediatrician, not any other kind of doctor.

My husband and I have two active boys who are into soccer and baseball. I enjoy spending time in the garden growing our own vegetables. I also love to cook and hope to learn to play the piano someday.
