You will have another well child visit with immunizations; at this visit feeding solids to your baby will be discussed. This is an exciting time where your baby begins to roll over all the way, sits up first with support and then without, transfers objects from one hand to another. Your baby develops full color vision and the ability to track objects improves. Be careful not to leave your baby unattended, especially on a bed, couch or counter. They move faster than you think.
Most infants at six months can:
- Responds to his/her name
- Voluntarily grasp and release objects
- Move to a sitting position with support
- Turn to the sound of a rattle or noise
- Makes “raspberries” and smacks lips
