Practicing medicine is truly a privilege, and I feel honored to be welcomed into the lives of my patients and their families. One of the most meaningful aspects of my work is building strong, trusting relationships and serving as a supportive partner in their care. I believe the best outcomes happen when families and providers work together as a team, so I always strive to include families in the decision-making process.
I became a doctor because I’ve always been driven to help others feel better. There’s nothing quite like the joy of a child’s smile or the sound of their laughter. After nearly a decade in practice, I still believe there’s no better job in the world.
I grew up all over the U.S., from Louisiana and Virginia to Astoria, Oregon and Traverse City, Michigan. Becoming a parent myself has helped me better relate to the day-to-day challenges many of my patients’ families face. Outside of work I enjoy painting, gardening, reading, paddleboarding, hiking, and backpacking with my family and our two corgis, Nymeria and Lucy.
